Fountains in the park

This is the park right next to the central station in Brussels. I went there last year to test the new lens I had received for my birthday from Iuliana. This is one of those test shots.

Phalaenopsis

Iuliana is completely crazy about them. We have about ten different ones right now, of which three are in bloom and another two are about to flower as well. She's been asking me to take pictures of them for quite some time. So here it is!

iPhone wallpaper pack 1!

Yes, here it is! After a suggestion form my good friend Robin from iphonetunes.net, I have taken the ten best iPhone wallpapers from this blog and created my very first iPhone wallpaper pack for your enjoyment. All you have to do is click here to download the zip file. I hope to be doing one every month with my personal monthly top ten!
Many thanx to Robin for hosting them for me on iphonetunes.net

No title

I took this one on the same beautiful evening I took the one of the Anspach fountain. Hope you like it :-)

Ow sow pretty...

On the same trip to Amsterdam with Stijn, we happened upon a pond that had this floating in it :-). Even though I had come to take pictures of the architecture in the area I couldn't pass up a nice kodak moment. I would also like to take this opportunity to tell all my disappointed viewers that I'm really sorry for not having been very regular of late, but I have been a bit busy on a side project I'm working on ;-).
The iPhone version is here as usual.

Road trippin'...

Yesterday, my good friend Stijn did me a huge favor and gave me a lift to Amsterdam. More specifically to the Bijlmer where I wanted to take pictures of the new train station that's been built there. It was a very nice trip and I'll definitely be going back to the area as there were loads of other really cool buildings to get lost among.
I took this picture right after we arrived. Hope you like it.
The pictures of the station itself are on my Flickr page.

Something else...

On the day I took the picture of the cathedral, we went to a fairly new shop near the Grand Place which sell a huge variety of olive based products and other mediterranean goodies (herbs, pastry and pastas). I really like the way the store is decorated and thought I share my impression with you :-). By the way, the stuff they sell is really tasty so if you have a chance, hop in and have a look around.

Sunset over Brussels once again...

Yes, I do like the fact that our apartment is facing west, especially now in what seems to become sunset season :-). Three of them at once, because I REALLY like them!

Swings in a storm...

We've been to Knokke yesterday and though the weather could have been better, the storm clouds in the distance did make for quite an impressive view. Somewhere along the beach someone had put two swings, right on the waterline. I liked the image, hope you do as well...

Another one, aren't you lucky!!

That's four pictures today! I just finished editing this one and am quite happy with it! Another 3 exposure HDR at Midi-station.

Impressions

This morning I went to Brussels-Midi train station. For those of you that don't know it, it's the one where the trains to Paris and London depart :-). I spent around two hours there taking pictures. And another on and a half hour creating these results. All three are 3-exposure HDR's.
These are my impressions of the Brussels-Midi station. I hope you enjoy them!

Reflections

the building on the left is the Proximus building in, where else, the north district. The building reflected in it is one of the many government buildings.

pfff posting anyways :-)

Yup anyway! We just got home from a beer with Paul, which was a lot of fun until I interrupted with the news that it was already 0100h. On the way home we had a delightful summer storm. You know the one where the rain is about as warm as the weather; which in this case meant probably what, 25°C. Just gorgeous. Suffice to say we were rather drenched by the time we reached our door :-). Just because I'm so determined about this blog, I started editing at 0140 in the morning and this is what came out. Picture taken yesterday evening like the one I posted then.
