Another one from memory lane

As with yesterday's post this is another set of pictures I took for HDR processing, but never really got round to doing. Well here's how it turned out. I'm quite happy with the result although it might be a smidgen exaggerated. :-)

It's in Antwerp on the Schelde somewhere :-)

Every now and then there's a fix...

Finally found some inspiration again :-)
This picture was taken in 2008 at Brussels' North station. I had taken a series of exposures with the intention to do an HDR with them. Somehow at the time I was unable to get it quite the way I wanted it.

Browsing my old pictures yesterday evening I stumbled across them and decided to give it another go. This is the result of that go.
Hope you guys like it!

Layered perspectives

Sardinia again, on the way to the hotel from the beach on our second evening there. The sunsets we saw on the island were magnificent, but I'll get to those in a later post. For those of you interested, it's an HDR of five exposures from 1 raw file with a bit of magic sauce afterwards. The iPhone version is here.

On the other side

This is the view on the side opposite from the previous picture. It's a panoramia composed of 17 hdr's based on 5 exposures each so basically it took me nearly half the day to get this result. The final tif file ended up at a whopping 1.25 Gb! :-s As with the previous picture I've uploaded a large-ish version to my skydrive for better effect.
Hope you like it, because I am quite happy with the result.

Another one, aren't you lucky!!

That's four pictures today! I just finished editing this one and am quite happy with it! Another 3 exposure HDR at Midi-station.

Impressions

This morning I went to Brussels-Midi train station. For those of you that don't know it, it's the one where the trains to Paris and London depart :-). I spent around two hours there taking pictures. And another on and a half hour creating these results. All three are 3-exposure HDR's.
These are my impressions of the Brussels-Midi station. I hope you enjoy them!

Antwerp

As it was Iuliana's birthday yesterday (25, yay!), we went to visit Antwerp as opposed to staying at home. We had a really good day, the weather was actually quite nice, we had sun most of the time and the parts that it was raining we were having cocktails, so we didn't really care too much ;-)
I had as usual taken my camera to shoot around and this is one of the results. Hope you like it as well!
That building in the back, with all the green stuff covering it, is a pub called "Het elfde gebod" or "The eleventh commandment"; a very nice little pub entirely filled with church statues of saints.
PS: You may leave your congratulations in the comments section ;-)

Neglect... Noooooooo!

I realise it hasn't been a daily thing of late. I am very sorry for that and do my best to get back on track with the updates. This one is an HDR of the view from our balcony, as we speak (well, as I write this anyway) This time I had my tripod so I could do the separate exposures as opposed to using just one RAW file.

Boerentoren goes HDR :-)

We went to Antwerp today, for some shopping. We had a very nice day of spending money, waiting by dressing rooms and taking pictures. This is an HDR of 7 exposures from one RAW base file. I'll definitely go back with my tripod to do it over properly some day :-).
The iPhone version is here.

Koekelberg

I'm in ITIL training at the moment, so I haven't had the time to edit a new picture. I've decided to post one I've done some time ago, which is also on my deviantart profile. It's my first HDR render I've done. I've composed it of nine different exposures to get this result. Hope you like the result!

Paris, again :-)

From the same trip to Paris. In the evening, we went to Mont martre and the Sacré Coeur. We watched the sunset over Paris and I took this, among many other pictures. We really had an amazing day in this beautiful city and we will definitely be going back there!
It's a HDR rendering of five different exposures so as to get the nice details you're seeing.
The iPhone version is here.
