The day after, the weather was not so brilliant, but that also made for some great misty pictures as you can see :-)

Last weekend, Iuliana and I went to a family get together in the beautiful village of Waimes in the Ardennes. Beautiful nature walks and loads of fun were had. Other pictures to follow.
Both the previous pano and this one have been taken with Stijn's Samsung digimax A50.
Well, yes I know, it's been a long time and also I know that having my camera stolen wasn't supposed to hold me back from taking pictures, but it has. I can't really explain it. Anyway enough with the excuses and on to today's post. I went for a photowalk in Brussels yesterday to finally test drive the Samsung Digimax A50 that my good friend Stijn lent to me. As you can see it does quite a good job!
This one is taken in Romania the last time we went there and is from the last batch taken with my Nikon. It's on the same day that we went to Lacu Rosu and these are the cliffs of Bicaz.
This is one of Iuliana's favorites. She keeps asking how it's doing when she is in London. Well here is the proof that it's doing more than fine, thank you! :-)
Today I was supposed to have a job interview at Pepsico in Zaventem. I said supposed because my daily life seems to not have lost it's sense of irony. I was going to take the 1142h bus to Zaventem to arrive there at 1221h which was expertly timed as the interview was at 1230h. As I get to the busstop I see a manifestation coming up the street towards me and in the direction the bus was supposed to take. So basically I missed a job interview because a manifestation for jobs blocked the bus for almost an hour.
I've been to visit Iuliana in London this past weekend until this morning, which was a load of fun!
On our last day in Piatra, we went for a delicious bbq :-). Along the lake this time. The same lake as the one in this shot. Different position and less snow :-)
It's Orthodox Easter and that means we're in Romania. We went to visit Lacu Rosu today.
As we were walking here a young girl was shouting to her father: "We're not in Holland daddy, we're in wonderland!!"
Iuliana and I went to the floralien of Groot-Bijgaarden yesterday. Thousands of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths blooming away. If you're in the area of the Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden, do pass by there. It really is worth the visit! Students taking online college classes in biology will like to see all the different varieties of flowers currently in bloom. This is one of the 200-ish pictures I took there and I'm sure there will be several more to follow :-)
Yup, another one :-) I was so happy with this one I just had to post it!
This is one from the same day as the ones in the botanique.
This is a view on the Dexia tower and the Covent garden building from the botanique.
This morning I've been experimenting a bit with our palm tree.
And this was how I found the daffodil in the previous shot, standing all on it's own (well nearly anyway).
Since we were on the topic of easter in the previous pic, I thought I'd continue :-)
On Tuesday evening, my friend Paul and I went to do some nigh time shooting in town. This is the first of the resulting pictures. I'm quite satisfied by the result!
As the weather was quiet nice yesterday I thought I'd go out and see if there was anything worth shooting. Well it basically ended up with me being out for half an hour, taking three pictures and heading back in due to lack of inspiration. I did however take this one which I am very happy about. Especially since that whole street photography thing is not really one of my strengths.
Hello my faithful and patient audience :-)
